Education and Covid-19.

                  Covid-19 virus

The COVID-19 pandemic impact is still being witnessed despite the goverment through its ministry of health abolishing the mandatory wearing of masks and restrictions to use the public properties.

The greatest effect was left on the education sector and the impact is now being felt on the ongoing Primary to secondary school transition of over 1.2M pupils who sat for their final primary school examination.

The program on the expansion of the school infrastructure was halted due to limited funds that was caused due to COVID-19 impact of the economy and this has made the ministry to restrict the students admission in different schools due to limited space.

The ministry of health has instructed the head of top secondary schools to absorb more students from the public primary school leaving out the students who got high marks to join the average county schools.

This means that the students who completed their studies from the private schools will be forced to chase the chances from other top private secondary schools who are also crying out due to limited space due to COVID-19 impact that made the goverment withdraw its partial support.

The goverment will not be able to achieve 100% transition of students due poor infrastructure and limited funds that is required to facilitate their admission and free goverment services as the country is trying to adjust the lost funds due to COVID-19 impact.

In my Opinion, the government should  look into a way to adjust itself to suit the interest of students in the near future and enhance the issues of infrastructural development despite the Covid-19 pandemic strike.

The students whose interest haven't been met should be taken through psychological therapies to enhance their dreams to get to the highest educational level.
